Web Design & Branding

People really don’t understand that having a quality brand design is really a great place to start. Getting your visual branding going and running smoothly before you start working on your website is key. However, if you are past this and have a website, go back and make sure that it truly shows what you want - who you are - and what you bring to your audience.

If you are looking for web design templates, check out these on here.

Visual branding should include design such as your logo design, your font selection, and a color palette. You will want it to also include photos - your best, most professional and quality images you have or can get.

Your website is just as important and as critical as any other part of your business.

IT’S YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION, so make it STAND OUT!

I have seen people choose to make their website as their last thought - where they feel that they don’t need much on it and most times the images or content are an afterthought, but your website is like the first impression, and it is only as good as what you do with it. The information you give and the images you put on it - the photos you pick, - the content or animation you choose - should be important and bring out not only your personality but your professional passion about your product/service. And again, have fun with it!

However, web design is not for everyone and if that is the case here, the best thing to do is find someone to do it for you or take a course on how to do this. It really is important as it is the door to your product/service and your audience will absolutely be judging - sorry!

But, not to worry! There are a lot of great web designers out there (me, me, me 😊) that can help you!

Determine Niche and Business Idea

It is really important to be specific about your niche and business idea.

I know that sounds scary!

Choosing a niche may take time and involve some trial and error, but it's important to narrow down your focus so you can become an expert in that area. Don't be discouraged if you're not sure at first, and be open to tweaking your niche as you go along.

Take a look at this list of things to think about when you are marketing your niche!

Niche Demand

  1. Craft a Captivating Headline: Keep It Simple and Straightforward.

  2. Describe and let them know the problem your product/service solves.

  3. Let them know that YOU are the solver of the problem that they may have.

  4. Tell them how this product will benefit the user.

  5. If you can, add as many testimonials from people who have used your product.

  6. One effective way to address a customer's pain point is to offer them a free solution or resource that can help alleviate their issue.

    1. This could be in the form of a helpful guide, a free trial of a relevant product or service, or access to a consultation or online training session. By providing a valuable resource at no cost, you can establish trust and build a relationship with the customer, making it more likely that they will turn to you for future support or solutions.

  7. Make a strong guarantee.

  8. Always create urgency so they understand that it does not last.

  9. Bring on that sale! Show them the service or main product that will benefit them the most.

Research

Conducting research is crucial to effectively market and sell your product or service. Some ways to do research include analyzing competitor strategies, surveying your target audience, and gathering industry insights from reputable sources. Additionally, utilizing data analytics tools can help you track and measure the success of your marketing efforts.

It's a good idea to research your niche on Google, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc. to see what others are doing. This can help you identify gaps in the market where you can improve upon what already exists. By using online platforms, you can better educate your audience and create content that resonates with them.

Keywords

Keyword search is done the same way - you want to go through those platforms (Google and Pinterest are my favs!) and start typing to see what pops up. Through the drop down, you can see what others have also searched for, which is very important.

Why? Because we want to know what the audience is looking for!

That’s right! Those searched drop down lists actually mean something (not just a creepy Google thing…). So based on those searches, and what your niche is, you can develop many unique things from this -

Courses

The list goes on, but you want to use those keywords in your SEO as well! If they are looking for those things then that means they want to know more about it and YOU, my friend, have the answers. You just have to look.

Write Copy that Sells

Once again, copy is another very important area that should be thought-out and put together well. What you write can either help you create a virtual relationship and connect with your ideal audience, or it can push them away. Ways to do this would be to use those keywords and research, and:

  • Identify and understand your target audience to create copy that resonates with them.

  • Use clear and concise language to convey your message effectively.

  • Focus on benefits over features to show how your product or service can improve their lives.

  • Use storytelling to create an emotional connection with your audience.

  • Include calls to action to encourage your audience to take action.

  • Proofread and edit your copy to ensure it is error-free and professional.

Understanding your target audience is crucial for creating copy that connects with them and differentiates your brand. By knowing their demographics, interests, pain points, and aspirations, you can craft messages that resonate with them and drive engagement. This will help you establish a strong brand identity and build a loyal customer base.

Newsletter

Your newsletter or email campaign is crucial to any business and say that your email list is by far one of the MOST IMPORTANT streams of leads and financial freedom you can have!

How do you do this? Great question! You can do this by:

  • Creating compelling content that speaks to your audience's needs and interests.

  • Using a clear, concise subject line that grabs their attention.

  • Personalizing your emails to make your audience feel valued and connected to your brand.

  • Segmenting your email list to target specific groups with tailored messages.

  • Including a clear call-to-action that encourages your audience to take action.

  • Testing and analyzing your campaigns to optimize their performance.

  • Ensuring that your emails are mobile-friendly and accessible to all users.

How to get an email list can be difficult as well. Many things come into play to even get your list going, such as having a great website with great information! Posting, videos, podcasting, and so on. But, you can reach your audience in so many ways.

Here are some ways to start building an email list:

  • Offer a free resource or incentive in exchange for email sign-ups on your website.

  • Host a webinar or event and require attendees to provide their email address to register.

  • Use social media to promote your email list and encourage followers to sign up.

  • Attend networking events and collect business cards to add to your email list.

  • Create a referral program and incentivize current subscribers to refer their friends and family to join your email list.

Which brings me to my next section,

Back-end Sales and Upselling

To do this, you would use your email list and start sending out emails twice a day if possible, but mainly if you have a launch or a new sale - this is when it gets crucial… Offer them free educational advice and tips on top, then let them know about your sale.

Ways to do this would be:

  1. Send out electronic loyalty coupons they can redeem on their next visit.

  2. Offer related products on your "Thank You" page after they purchase.

  3. Implement personalized product recommendations based on their previous purchases or browsing history.

  4. Send follow-up emails or texts with special promotions or discounts on related products or services.

  5. Train your sales team to suggest complementary products or services during customer interactions.

  6. Provide additional value through informative blog posts or newsletters that showcase related products or services.

Back end sales from your email is critical I would say to any business. This allows us to do so many things but you actually profit from this. You create a relationship with your audience and in turn can convert audience into clients. Back end sales shows your audience that you value their business and are interested in meeting their needs beyond just the initial purchase. It also provides an opportunity to offer additional products or services that they may find valuable, increasing the potential for repeat business and customer loyalty.

Monetize

Website monetization is the process of converting existing traffic being sent to a particular website into revenue. The most popular ways of monetizing a website is through advertising but there are other ways to do this. Content monetization is a popular way to earn money from your content. You can do this by offering subscriber-only access or creating online courses which is what many people do these days. Another way is by partnering with companies that align with your content, you can earn a commission for promoting their products, known as affiliate marketing.
