Taking a structured approach to designing your website, our development process was created to ensure every project is delivered on-time and on-budget. Once your web design project kicks off, here's what to expect:
#1 initial planning
First order of business is to have our phone/video session with you and your team and create a detailed set of design and technical specifications. These specifications serve as a roadmap for the rest of the web design process.
#2 mockups
Once I have collected all materials (imagery, brand color, font, logo ideas or designs, content, text, and product), I will proceed with mood board or site mockups. These add color and a bit more detail, giving us a stronger visual representation of the final product.
#3 copy & graphics
Once we have agreed on a final design based on the mockups, I will proceed with the rest of the development. We do not supply site copywrite but we can add your text content if you have this. I then add your graphics and design - and with your copy, I can perform SEO.
#4 development
At this time, we will kick off the CSS side of the web design process, creative and thoughtful coding that will make your site personal and unique. We add the theme and page designs, and setting up your website analytics - Squarespace provides great analytics that will be included.
#5 testing
As I get closer to finishing, I will get to work testing your site's performance and reliability. I will test your site's loading, speed, responsiveness, while also ensuring that your mobile site and all browsers work.
#6 revisions
You get unlimited revisions for 5 days - from the day that I send your first review. I will send the build to you to review and from there we will walk through your site, and you can let me know what you would like to change, add, move, or implement (within our contract.) This gives you the desired look that feels right to you! (We do bill add-ons at a standard hourly rate.)
#7 development & optimizations
When I am sure that your site is ready to be released to you, I will deploy it under you, the new owner. Then, I will set up your 15-day support and training process. During that period, we can train on any features added to your site, and provide video training if needed.

What version of Squarespace are your templates?
I use the Squarespace 7.1, but we can customize your Squarespace website using 7.0 if you wanted one of my templates.
Can I change the font and color after transfer?
Absolutely! Not only can you change the color and font, you can change the design to fit your needs! I provide video course guides so that you can do this on your own - with ease and without the confusion! Plus you get 15 days of follow up questions when you need help navigating your new website!
Can I just buy a template and do it myself?
YES! We offer templates that you can purchase and take it as your own! We also provide help if necessary through guided instruction!
How long does this take?
